Ingredients (8 pieces):
- 300 g flour (wheat or spell flour)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 120 ml water
- 80 g yoghurt, curd cheese, soy curd
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp apple vinegar
- Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Make a well in the middle and add water, yoghurt, olive oil and vinegar.
- Mix with a spoon and and then continue kneading the dough with your hands until a light dough is formed. Add more flour if necessary, but the dough must not get too dry.
- Then divide into 8 pieces. First roll out each flatbread with the rolling pin and finally pull it apart a little with your fingers so that it gets an „uneven“ surface. (This gives the flatbread the typical surface with many small bumps during baking.)
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Place the flatbreads in the pan and bake for about 3 minutes on each side or until they are lightly browned.
