Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 1 slice sordough bread
  • 2 tsp curd cheese
  • 2 tsp cream cheese
  • 1 avocado, halves, peeled and cut into thin slices
  • some lime juice
  • some cress or sprouts
  • salt, pepper
  1. Heat some olive oil in a pan and toast the bread briefly on both sides.
  2. For the curd cream, mix curd and cream cheese in a small bowl.
  3. Spread the curd cream on the toasted bread and spread avocado on top. If desired, the avocado can also be mashed with a fork. Season with salt and pepper, top with cress or sprouts and drizzle with a little lemon juice.

For some vegan variation use vegan cream cheese and/or vegan curd Cheese.

Tip: Your avocado should be as soft as possible so that you can process it more easily and the flavors really come into their own. When buying a ripe fruit, you can recognize it by the fact that it can be pressed in a little. To make sure that the avocado is not overripe, pull out the small knobbly stem on the top of the fruit in the supermarket. As long as the flesh underneath has a yellowish-green glow, the avocado is ripe. If the flesh is brown, the avocado is already overripe.
